Description Christian Boltz 2006-01-22 22:37:30 UTC
yast2 bluetooth has a bad (too short) help text.

The "device name" ("Gerätename") input field contains %h and %d by default, but these are not explained in the help text.

Please add a description about these variables to the help text.

Text suggestion:
You can use the following variables in the device name:
    %h - ....
    %d - ....
(I don't know what these variables do, please replace the dots yourself ;-)

lslezak: This is your module. What do you think? Is more information needed?

Can someone give me a screen shot? I don't have a beta running (or anything newer than 9.3).

Rebecca, just for you ;-)

BTW: What? You run such old versions? *SCNR*

Could I get one in English please? I can't read German.

Yes, I am still running 9.3. I have a beta of 10.0 on one of my test partitions but otherwise have not had time to update. Too much work.

Here is the English screen shot. The options should be described in my opinion. But it's probably too late to add a new help text. Rebecca?

I think we need to do it pretty quickly if we want to make this release. It would need to be done by Wednesday (as far as I know).

Do you have time for that Ladislav? If not, make it a later bug.

If so, I need to know what the options mean and if there are only those two. If a lot of explanation is needed, maybe it is in a man page we could refer the user to?

I would be happy to write a quick para you could add to the source if I just knew what I needed to say.

Will look at this after SLES10.

Reopening so we can resolve before the next product.

Thanks for fixing!
