When you add a ftp or http server as installation source, you have to fill out 2 fileds: server and folder. These fields sould be more error tolerant; actually they arn't error tolerant at all.

Make it possible to enter a server also in the form ftp://ftp.gwdg.de. Actually the leading ftp:// produces an error when connecting (something linke unable to find ftp://ftp://ftp.gwdg.de/folder/folder/folder).

Make it possible to enter the folder also in the form /pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/10.0/SUSE-Linux10.0-GM-Extra with leading "/". Actually the leading "/" produces an error when connecting.

However it might be simplier to use only one fied for the URL of the installation folder - this is the usual way in web browsers or in konqueror, and people (at least me) find this easier.

Hello Tim,

thanks for reporting this. As written in bug #137580, this has been already fixed. Just use the button `add URL' which you can find in the dialouge with the installation sources.
