Description John Smith 2006-01-23 11:34:07 UTC
Installing SUSE 10.1 Beta 1 on a machine with WinXP already on it. NTFS partition not added to fstab, no /windows directory created. However, WinXP added to GRUB menu.

Note: during install, YaST2 didn't repartition disk. Instead it installed into free space after NTFS partition.

Please attach your yast2 logs and your /etc/fstab as well as the output of `fdisk -l' and `hwinfo --disk'.

Comment 5 Michael Gross 2006-01-24 16:15:09 UTC
As this is a virtual machine, lowering the priority and reassigning.
Comment 7 Thomas Fehr 2006-01-24 18:52:38 UTC
The attached y2log file only contains the last steps of installation
(after first reboot), the partitioning and proposal stuff ist of course
done before reboot.

Please attach also y2log-1, y2log-2 from /var/log/YaST2 (or simply tar the whole
directory).
Comment 8 Thomas Fehr 2006-01-25 15:37:43 UTC
Not easy to be sure without logs, but this will probably be fixed in beta#3.
Please reopen and attache complete logs if this still happens with beta#3.
