The kernel module did not built. It is fixed for beta2. The module is in the kernel-*-nongpl subpackage. kernel-nongpl is blocked in Beta3! So km_afs/libafs could not be build. This description was added to README.SUSE: Many developers in the kernel community consider kernel-level modules to be subject to the GPL terms. Novell respects this position and has a policy of distributing only kernel modules that are compatible with the GPL. Since the openafs kernel module is under the IBM Public license which is considered to be incompatible to the GPL, the binary module is not distributed. If you like to try compiling the kernel module on your own, get the openafs source package and rebuild it. Follow the process described here: http://en.opensuse.org/SUSE_Build_Tutorial |
