Description Sumit Bose 2006-01-23 14:40:27 UTC
The partitioner does not present/find existing logical volumes during installation. As a consequence it is not possible to install SL-10.1 on an existing logical volume or to update an older system installed on a logical volume.

this is a duplicate of #134083

i will not set it to duplicate because Sumit probably can't read whats going on (SLES bug).

Sumit: please attach /va/log/YaST/

Thomas: seems that this is not fixed with beta1.
Comment 2 Thomas Fehr 2006-01-23 15:47:33 UTC

Problem should be fixed with next release, no idea if the fix will make beta#2
or beta#3. As a workaround you could use "Reset to Defaults" in the menue in the
proposal which should make your LVs show up.
Comment 5 Thomas Fehr 2006-01-24 15:37:05 UTC
Fix will be in beta#2 actually.
