Description Joop Boonen 2006-01-23 19:41:23 UTC
When i trie to install and compile the nvidia modules. (NFORCE-Linux-x86_64-1.0-0310-pkg1.run NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-1.0-8178-pkg2.run) It fails with an error.

Read http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-installer-HOWTO.html.
Comment 3 Joop Boonen 2006-01-23 20:53:11 UTC
I've just testedit. It works perfectly for nvidia video.

But nvsound is still not compiled. So i don't have any sound.
Comment 4 Stefan Dirsch 2006-01-23 21:14:31 UTC
Didn't know that still anyone uses the proprietary nforce drivers. Good luck!
Comment 5 Takashi Iwai 2006-01-23 21:19:41 UTC
The binary-only nv audio driver isn't supported -> WONTFIX.

If you have any problems with the default ALSA drivers (snd-intel8x0), please open another bug.
Comment 6 Joop Boonen 2006-01-23 21:20:21 UTC
I use the nvsound module as this is the only one that works. The same counted for nvnet untill now, now forcedeth is working.

MCP51 support is needed.

Please open another bug report as I wrote, with more detailed descriptions of errors: what you did and what you got (or not). We won't debug for binary-only drivers.

Also, if the network driver in our kernel package doesn't work, open another bug report, too.
