Description Rajesh Kuri 2006-01-24 09:44:01 UTC
The below commnad

#blkid -c /dev/null

is in disk sleep mode state and using the multipath disks in the system.

So when I kill the process manually:

#kill -9 'pid'

Where pid is the pid number of process ( #blkid -c /dev/null)

The command is not terminating the process.

Please attach the hwinfo output to this bugzilla. What kind of multipath hardware / setup are you running?

We are using the Clarion CX600 (or DMX) fibre disk subsystem with two paths to the disk subsystems.

blkid is considered obsolete, and not supported on SL10.0. Please consider
upgrading to SL10.1 or SLES10.
