Description Frank-Michael Fischer 2006-01-25 07:51:41 UTC
After finishing a full installation from hard disk directory the CD-ROM is not "known". One needs to go to YaST2->Hardware-CD-ROM drives and install it manually to get an /dev/dvdrecorder entry into fstab.

Seems to be an installation issue? Jiri if this is nothing for you, assign it back to us.
Comment 6 Edith Parzefall 2006-03-06 13:35:05 UTC
Assinging back to fehr.
Comment 7 Thomas Fehr 2006-03-14 18:11:09 UTC
File /etc/udev/rules.d/65-cdrom.rules contains:

SUBSYSTEM=="block", ENV{ID_PATH}=="pci-0000:00:1f.1-ide-1:0", SYSFS{removable}=="1", SYMLINK+="dvdrecorder cdrom dvd cdrecorder"

which should be fine, please check why udev does not create the symlinks.
Comment 8 Kay Sievers 2006-03-14 23:24:58 UTC
Does the symlink exist after a reboot?
Comment 9 Kay Sievers 2006-04-13 09:50:51 UTC
No reply, closing the bug. (should be fine in the current release)
