Firewall doesn't touch this file at all -> mvidner
Comment 5 Martin Vidner 2006-01-30 13:35:19 UTC
Network manager was proposed as disabled in the first place because the machine was not a laptop. The firewall change did not affect that.

General NM policy is SLES: off, NLD: on, Box: iff laptop.
Comment 6 Daniel Gollub 2006-02-06 21:05:49 UTC
Tested and reproduced on more then one laptop.
Do you need further information or more detailed logs?
Comment 7 Daniel Gollub 2006-02-07 10:34:59 UTC
Invalid bug description. Laptop seems to be not detected as laptop so it was deactived by default. This have nothing to do with firewall settings...
Sorry about that. :(
Comment 8 Daniel Gollub 2006-02-07 10:35:52 UTC
Change to INVALID
Comment 9 Martin Vidner 2006-02-07 12:01:39 UTC
OK. I assume that you will open other bugs for that. Please use the following to check what yast thinks about having a laptop:

echo '`Read (.probe.has_pcmcia) `Read (.probe.system)' | /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2base stdio scr
