Same for Spanish, SL10.1, Beta1
Comment 3 Kerry OConnor 2006-02-03 14:59:27 UTC
Performance and Powersave will stay the same.
Comment 4 john lohan 2006-02-23 12:21:25 UTC
Checked in ES SL10.1 Beta 4. Reopening, in beta 4 all the items in both drop down lists are untranslated.
Comment 5 Kerry OConnor 2006-02-24 15:56:11 UTC
Karl, the strings have been removed from the powermanagement.po files. I checked the powermanagemnt.ycp file and there is a comment there which says "not needed anymore, getting from kpowersave package". The terms are translated in kpowerave but it's not pulling the strings in from there.
Comment 6 Karl Eichwalder 2006-03-02 12:37:33 UTC
Lukas, will you please check why translations wont get pulled in from the kpowersave package?
Comment 7 Lukas Ocilka 2006-03-02 12:45:06 UTC
Sorry, I have more than 'a lot of' my own problems :)
But what's better -> this module is jsrain's :)
Comment 8 Danny Al-Gaaf 2006-03-02 13:30:06 UTC
Sorry, but is this a joke? Why should we provide this translations in KPowersave? We already discussed something like this a long time ago and it's more than a bad idea to put them to the kpowersave translations if we have GNOME as default desktop e.g. on NLD (and there are also some other reasons).

And no they are not translated in KPowersave, we only translate the names of the schemes, but not the description of the scheme.

The problem we discussed (long time ago) was that Yast should not translate the scheme name and description in the powersave config files, they should always be in english.
Comment 9 Karl Eichwalder 2006-03-02 14:25:14 UTC
Okay, let's close it as "worksforme".
Comment 10 Danny Al-Gaaf 2006-03-02 14:44:07 UTC
I'm not sure if this is the solution. If yast can be guarantee that the powersave module never translate the config files, we simply can readd the missing tranlations (they are IMO currently only comment out in the po files)

*** Bug 154098 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 12 David Boyle 2006-04-19 09:59:37 UTC
Checked on RC1.
The descriptions for Acoustic, Performance and Powersave are fully translated on RC1. However, the descriptions for AdvancedPowersave and Presentation are in English. A user experiencing these screens would expect the descriptions to be all either fully translated or all in English. Please indicate if this is correct as is, and we can close this bug, or whether the descriptions will be changed to Fully translated or Fully in English. If translations are required please assign to Kerry O'Connor (koconnor@vistatec.ie).

Danny, please comment on comment #12
Comment 14 Danny Al-Gaaf 2006-04-22 15:34:19 UTC
If they are in english, they are simply not translated for several languages.
Comment 15 Kerry OConnor 2006-04-24 11:27:09 UTC
Received latest file from Shane and translated new string on 21-04-06. Please verify in RC2.

msgid ""

I checked in RC2 and everything is fine. At least in the Hungarian version.
