Description peter czanik 2006-01-27 17:18:12 UTC
Probably a PPC kernel problem, but during booting, SuSEfirewall2 throws lot's of error messages on screen. See attached logs (gpm copy from the console).

Does "rpm -q --changelog kernel-default" show the following changelog entry?

* Di Jan 24 2006 - okir@suse.de
- patches.fixes/netfilter-alignment: [NETFILTER] x_tables:
  Fix XT_ALIGN() macro on [at least] ppc32 (145164).
Comment 4 peter czanik 2006-01-30 18:19:12 UTC
Yes, it's there.
Comment 5 Ludwig Nussel 2006-01-31 08:17:18 UTC
In this case I'd blame the ppc kernel too as it works fine on i386
Comment 6 Olaf Kirch 2006-01-31 09:28:28 UTC
Jaroslav, please can you please look into this?
The Suse ppc team (ppc@suse.de) will be able to point you to some test
machine in Nuremberg if needed.
Comment 7 Jaroslav Kysela 2006-02-01 13:25:54 UTC
The beta3 does not show this behaviour.
