Description Christian Boltz 2006-01-27 18:36:52 UTC
When trying to fetch the images from my digital camera, I get a permission denied error.

The camera is a Concord Q eye 4330z (aka Traveller SX)

/var/log/messages when plugging in the camera:
Jan 27 00:09:18 cboltz klogd: usb 3-2: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 3
Jan 27 00:09:18 cboltz klogd: usb 3-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice

gphoto2 exits saying
An error occurred in the io-library ('Could not claim the USB device'): Could not claim interface 0 (Operation not permitted). Make sure no other program or kernel module (such as sdc2xx, stv680, spca50x) is using the device and you have read/write access to the device.

As root, I can access the camera (and still see bug 106061 :-( )

Comment 2 Marcus Meissner 2006-01-29 10:34:30 UTC
was broken by some HAL changes, fixed in beta3 I hope.
Comment 3 Christian Boltz 2006-03-10 16:27:28 UTC
works in beta6.

Thanks!
