Hello,

After A4->B1 and then B1->B2 update IDE CD/DVD-RW is not usable - no /dev/hda node while it is seen by kernel in dmesg. I noted this first on B1 when I tried to burn B2 1st CD in order to update. Before on A4 everything worked perfectly.

Please provide hwinfo output and attach it to this bug. Please also provide
hwinfo of a working system (you seem to imply that it work in earlier
betas?)

ACPI or something like this.

Full dmesg info is needed as well, preferably from both a working and non-working kernel.

I apologise for early statement - beta2 works fine with DVD/CD-RW. The problem happened with Beta1 when I tried to write Beta2 ISOs. Beta2's 2.6.16-rc1-git3-4-default recognises IDE CD with no problems after update finished. Closing this bug.
