Description Manoj P 2006-01-28 16:35:05 UTC
System hangs on install boot with the following error message on console :

Activating ieee1394 devices... done
Activating pcmcia devices... done
Searching for info file...
udevd-event[1285]: wait_for_sysfs: waiting for '/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:14.1/ide1/1.0/bus' failed.

System info : Acer Ferrari 4005 Laptop, AMD 64 Turion processor, 1 GB Mem, 100 GB harddrive. Suse 10.0 works fine on this laptop.

Install options selected : Normal Install with ACPI enabled.
Same thing happens when ACPI is disabled during install.
