The scanned output of the laserjet.
So I suppose the 5MP is the postscript-printer and the 5M is a GDI printer? Please provide `hwinfo --printer' and the yast logfiles in /var/log/YaST2. The Laserjet 5P is a no postscript it works with the HP laserjet protocol. The 5MP is a Laserjet 5P with a postscript module. linux:~ # hwinfo --printer 14: Parallel 00.0: 10900 Printer [Created at parallel.154] Unique ID: ffnC.nLaQu8RiYRE Parent ID: YMnp.ecK7NLYWZ5D Hardware Class: printer Model: "Hewlett-Packard HP LaserJet 5P" Vendor: "Hewlett-Packard" Device: "HP LaserJet 5P" Device File: /dev/lp0 Config Status: cfg=yes, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown Attached to: #9 (Parallel controller) linux:~ # Created attachment 65750 [details]

The HP LaserJet 6MP series printer has the above fonts (in PCL mode) plus 35 scalable Adobe Type 1 resident fonts, with 75 additional scalable typefaces on a disk for Adobe PostScript users in Windows. For all of the printers, HP FontSmart provides font management capabilities. HP LaserJet 6P, 6PSE, 6PXI, and 6MP series printer-resident typefaces using HP enhanced PCL6 printer language I wanted to attach the /var directory. But it's to big. You can download it at: http://worldcitizen.demon.nl/var_dual_athon_101_beta2.tgz The link doesn't belong to thsi bug. Can #8 and this one #9 please be removed. By the way 10.1 beta1 installs without a problem. Made the same mistake with #10. So please delete #9 up toi including #11 Beta 3 has the same problem. There wasn't proably any time to fix this bug yet. The problem hasn't been solve in beta 4 yet. Same problem there. (In reply to comment #8) > I wanted to attach the /var directory. But it's to big. > > You can download it at: > http://worldcitizen.demon.nl/var_dual_athon_101_beta2.tgz > Please delete this comment #8 doesn't belong to this bug Problem still in beta 9 Does it work with Beta10? If so, please close this bug. No it also doesn't work in RC2. Can be solved by choosing: HP LaserJet 5P Foomatic/hpijs (manufacturer-PPDs/ or HP LaserJet 5P Foomatic/ljet4 (recommended) (HP/L instead of: HP LaserJet 5MP Postscript (recommended) (manufac Which is automatically selected. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 164991 *** |
