Description Jean-Philippe Blais 2006-01-30 17:51:46 UTC
- Using Yast in text mode (I dont know if in graphical mode the bug is there)
- Configuring a network interface for static IP using ifup method
- When we configure the hostname and name server (in the Detailed Settings section)
- The options boxes for DHCP are active and greyed, so we cannot deactivate to configure the search list and name server.

Choice made in yast to get to the defective panel :
- "Network Devices" -> "Network Card"
- Selected: "Traditional Method with ifup"
- Edit the interface
- Selected: "Static Address Setup"
- "Detailed Settings" for "Hostname and Name Server"
- The 2 check boxes for DHCP options are checked and greyed. The are supposed to be greyed bot not active. Actually the bad state prevent us to edit the search list and name server.

We need to edit the /etc/resolv.conf file manually.
