Karl, this string is not in our resources. Possibly a KDE string, but I'm not sure what could be causing it.
Comment 4 Karl Eichwalder 2006-02-07 14:51:56 UTC
Lukas, we have German translations for these string. From where do they come?
Comment 5 Lukas Ocilka 2006-02-07 15:14:20 UTC
YaST: firewall.pot

#. TRANSLATORS: CommandLine Summary header
#. TRANSLATORS: UI Summary header
#: src/summary.ycp:195 src/summary.ycp:198
msgid "Firewall Starting"
msgstr ""

YaST: base.pot

#. TRANSLATORS: Firewall zone name - used in combo box or dialog title
#: library/network/src/SuSEFirewall.ycp:79
msgid "External Zone"
msgstr ""

#. TRANSLATORS: Firewall zone name - used in combo box or dialog title
#: library/network/src/SuSEFirewall.ycp:81
msgid "Internal Zone"
msgstr ""

#. TRANSLATORS: Firewall zone name - used in combo box or dialog title
#: library/network/src/SuSEFirewall.ycp:83
msgid "Demilitarized Zone"
msgstr ""

#. TRANSLATORS: Firewall zone full-name, used as combo box item or dialog title
#: library/network/src/SuSEFirewall.ycp:1140
msgid "Unknown Zone"
msgstr ""

Nevertheless, this doesn't seem to be problem of translation but problem with used font. All of these texts are used with "<h2>$text</h2>" (with HTML tags).

HuHa: Qt font problem?
Emmet: could you, please try it in ncurses?
Comment 6 Karl Eichwalder 2006-02-07 15:31:12 UTC
re-assigning to Stefan because of the Lukus' qt remark.
Comment 7 Stefan Hundhammer 2006-02-07 18:25:59 UTC

I cannot reproduce that with Beta3. See screen shot.

I.e. it is probably already fixed in Beta3.

Please retest with Beta3.

Closing as FIXED.

not fixed for SCH in Beta 4, it still has same issue, please see attachment "Corrupt text in Firewall".
Comment 15 Zhe Su 2006-02-23 11:13:44 UTC
I noticed similiar issue on Beta4 as well. However I don't know whether it's a translation bug or lower level rendering bug. I'll do more investigation.
Comment 16 Kerry OConnor 2006-02-24 17:04:28 UTC
This only occurs on GNOME, the strings appear fine in KDE. Possibly a font issue.
Comment 17 Kerry OConnor 2006-02-27 10:17:54 UTC
This is being tracked separately in 153046. Closing this defect.
