Description Jan Karjalainen 2006-02-03 11:03:24 UTC
After installing components in the smart gui, and closing the window, smart says it's updating the cache. Problem is, it keeps on updating the cache until I kill the process.
Until I kill it, the whole system creeps to a halt, because of disc activity and running out of memory. The process took 600MB+ of memory, utilizing page file quite heavily...

The same seems to happen with "smart update", when it says "Saving cache..."
Comment 2 Christoph Thiel 2006-02-03 12:58:51 UTC
- What repository format have you been using?
- Could you please try to attach strace to the process, when it's updating the
cache and attache the output? (strace -p <processid>)
