The install procedure does not configure the sound cards properly on the dell D600 and the D410 (I'm guessing others too.).

After install, going into yast removing the card, then adding it in again results in a working card. 

I will attach the output of hwinfo --sound and the yast install logs

I have a Dell D600 laptop myself and it works fine with recent snapshots.
So I close this as fixed. If it still does not work for you feel free
to re-open it.
