in future versions of Suse, why don't you enable Yast/YOU to detect which nVidia graphic card is owned and enable Yast/YOU to download the required driver : version 70 for older nVidia cards and version 75 for newer Nvidia cards (these versions references found on nVidia web site) ; so all nVidia card owners can get 3D working. nVidia's Linux display driver archive : http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_archive.html

Sorry, but we won't support different versions of nvidia driver. BTW, the old version of the nvidia driver you're talking of cannot be compiled any longer for current Linux kernels. I'm afraid it's time to update your gfx card. :-(
