There will be a script included in 10.1 to install the firmware. The card works for me with 10.0, maybe it depends on the firmware version (check the ivtv page, there is a list of firmwares). We are thinking about different ways to install it in the future. I will close the bug now, but but maintainer into cc: I am now running SUSE 10.1 and have the ivtv packages installed, but neither is path to the firmware easy to locate (or documented at all?) but I am also unable to locate any script to install the firmware for me. I also have a PVR-350 tv card and, although the ivtv sees it I can't seem to find the right path for the firmware. /usr/lib/hotplug/firmware doesn't exist. I also tried /lib/firmware and even /lib/modules. Where does the firmware go? there is a script included: /usr/share/doc/packages/ivtv/ivtvfwextract.pl, but you have to download the right firmware before. Please try it and if it will not work reopen the bug. |
