Description Michael Stather 2006-02-05 00:59:02 UTC
In the previous versions it was that the nice "splash screen" hides all the messages about starting services etc if you don´t press the "escape" button. This looks really nice for non-experienced users.
Beta3 always shows the messages during shutdown even if yu don´t press escape.

splash broken?
Comment 2 Michael Schröder 2006-02-06 12:49:49 UTC
Reassigned to Anna.
Comment 3 Anna Dirks 2006-02-22 18:56:59 UTC
Thank you for reporting this.

Michael (Schroeder), I am not sure what is needed here. Is the problem a lack of artwork? We have a full screen kde session splash screen which should be employed. I suspect that there is a problem here with the OS which I am not equipped to fix. The full screen splash session is available here: https://svn.innerweb.novell.com/svn/pdes/branches/CODE10.Desktop/kde-splash/ksplashx/

Comment 4 Michael Schröder 2006-02-22 19:10:19 UTC
Isn't that one already fixed with bugzilla #150340?
Comment 5 Michael Schröder 2006-02-22 19:17:30 UTC
Hmm, seems to be only fixed for NLD and SLES. Why doesn't the SUSE theme also contain the changes? Please submit a fixed package!

(Shall I also reopen #150340?)
Comment 6 Michael Stather 2006-03-11 12:24:59 UTC
This is still there on my machine with beta6
Comment 7 Michael Schröder 2006-03-13 17:27:03 UTC
Sigh, no new package from your side. I just reopened 150340.
Comment 8 Stephan Binner 2006-04-24 09:17:10 UTC
This works fine here for me with STABLE and RC1? Why did you increase it to RC1? What bootsplash-theme* rpms do you have installed?
Comment 9 Matej Horvath 2007-02-16 14:35:47 UTC
No reaction on this bug for a long time. Closing as CANTFIX.
