Description Frank-Michael Fischer 2006-02-05 16:46:24 UTC
+++ This bug was initially created as a copy of Bug #144665 +++
After a standard installation NOT using NetworkManager and after each boot "rcnetwork status" says "running" but nothing "runs".

When checking with "iwconfig" (I am using the built-in WLAN card) it somehow shows why the running network is actually not running: both ESSID and Encryption key are not set und the interface status is "NOT READY!"

After "rcnetwork restart" network is up and works. This I can reproduce every single time.

Using NetworkManager makes the situation even worse -> Bug 148210 But we are not supposed to use NetworkManager with more than one card anyway.
