works for me in beta3. I will close this now, if you can test it with a later version and it will still give you a big red button, please reopen. I've tried it again with beta-3 boot.iso -- same problem. pleae try again:
- insert CD and boot, wait for "blue screen" with boot menu from CD
- eject CD (before default action "boot from HD" starts)
- press enter to "boot from HD" (or just wait...)
gives
boot from HD
I/O error
Error reading boot CD
REBOOT
question: is it possible to get a "retry" or "restart" button here which jumps back to grub, instead of booting thrugh BIOS ?

Does not work on my machine. Might depend on the BIOS. It's an enhancement anyway. We are using syslinux, not nitpick btw. Just tried on two machines and both BIOSes block until I put the CD back in. Not worth the trouble, sorry. |
CDROM boot loader nitpick: boot CDROM select "boot from hard disk" but don't start it yet eject CD from drive press enter (to boot from hard disk) gives a big red button with the only option "REBOOT". a "retry" option would be nice, is that possible / very hard / impossible ?
