Description Harald Koenig 2006-02-06 18:39:18 UTC
xfce4 xfdesktop tries to start "mozilla" as browser which is not installed.
either there should be a require to mozilla, or better start firefox
which is already available anyway.
Comment 1 Lars Vogdt 2006-02-13 09:56:21 UTC
xfce4 is not included in our distribution. For the latest XFCE desktop environment (dropped before SL 9.2) we always say: "There is no support for this package. It also is not included in the autoconfiguration process, i.e., you have to configure it yourself."

=> WONTFIX

BTW: I'm not responsible for that package, anyway.

if it's "not included" anymore, what am I using in 9.3 and 10.0 right now ?
and what are all these files below about in 10.1 beta3 ????

Comment 3 Harald Koenig 2006-02-13 19:16:18 UTC
please check again who is responsible for xfce4 !
it still *is* included in both SUSE Linux and openSUSE (thanks for that!).

and *PLEASE* don't drop it from your distribution!!!!
Comment 4 Lars Vogdt 2006-02-13 19:39:53 UTC
Sorry for the noise - wrong maintainer, wrong package :-(
=> Reassining to maintainer of xfce4-toys
Comment 5 Pavel Nemec 2006-02-14 10:40:32 UTC
well, it is not easy issue.
But mozilla will not be on CDs so i will use Firefox as default.
But if you not select MozillaFirefox package.... It will be same as before :)

IMHO firefox is perfectly ok here. and a default installation includes firefox anyway, so there is no real need for a rpm dependency.

but just for being curious, wouldn't this qualify for a rpm "requires" for xfce4-dektop ?
Comment 7 Pavel Nemec 2006-02-14 16:16:49 UTC
Firefox is in default selection for gnome. So if you select xfce with KDE, or with custom...... no firefox
xfce4 need firefox only because of "icon on panel", there is no other dependency
Comment 8 Pavel Nemec 2006-02-22 16:40:32 UTC
fixed for beta4
