One thing for clarity: The distribution's name is still SUSE Linux, openSUSE is just the project. Sorry, but you will have to be much more verbose if we should help. We need more information about the used hardware, can be generated by using the tool `hwinfo' (specially hwinfo --cdrom) which can also be used when booting into a rescue system from CD1. Then we must know from which medium you're trying to install from and if a try to manuall choose and add a medium fails. Furthermore we require the YaST logfiles located in /var/log/YaST2 of the failed installation which can also be obtained from a shell within the installation system. Please reopen this report once you can provide the information asked for. mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy) mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy) mass reopening all SuSE Linux bugs that are set to REMIND+LATER to change the resolution to WONTFIX (adapting to new policy) Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED. In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;( |
