How to reproduce:
1. Enable file sharing on Mac
2. Browse network:// in nautilus
3. Turn Mac off

Current behavior:
After disappearing of Zeroconf services, Nautilus changes the icon to the dumb icon and changes the title.

Expected behavior:
Icon disappears.

I tried this on beta 8 and the icons for ftp and sftp on the mac disappeared promptly. Can you still reproduce this stanislav?
Comment 4 Stanislav Brabec 2006-04-06 12:14:42 UTC
Confirming the fix.
Comment 5 Stanislav Brabec 2006-04-19 15:00:31 UTC
Reopening the bug.

The bug is avahi specific.

After disconnecting of Mac, icons are still there and avahi-browse -a shows disconnected machines.

Tens of minutes after disconnecting the Mac, avahi-browse -a stops to show these machines, but Nautilus continues to show them with dumb icons (dnssd-local-machinename-._ftp._tcp.local.

Restarting avahi daemons and the nautilus fixes the problem.

Sounds more like a workaround than a fix.

Still, given that this is marked should_go_upstream, and an upstream bug already exists, I'm resolving LATER.
Comment 7 Stanislav Brabec 2006-04-26 13:36:36 UTC
Bad upstream component.
Reported as avahi issue:

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
Comment 12 JP Rosevear 2008-08-14 20:44:13 UTC
Update resolution to UPSTREAM.
