Description Stephan Binner 2006-02-14 13:10:28 UTC
In the "Boot Loader Settings" configuration module in the groupbox "Boot Loader Location" always the "Other" radio button gets selected when entering the module or switching between the two tabs even if one of the other two possible selection expresses the given location, eg:

 ( ) Master Boot Record of /dev/hda
( ) Boot Sector of Boot Partition /dev/hda8
 (x) Other : /dev/hda8

After clicking on "Master Boot Record of /dev/hda", switching to first tab and back to second tab "(x) Other: /dev/hda" is again the active option.

QT, ncurses, both? ;)
Comment 2 Stephan Binner 2006-02-14 20:50:19 UTC
<nitpick>QT is the abbreviation for QuickTime. Qt is a toolkit.</nitpick>

It's Qt interface specific.
Comment 3 Christian Boltz 2006-02-14 21:03:23 UTC
Well, "(x) Other: /dev/hda" is technically correct - although people may expect that the first option (MBR) is selected.

IIRC this was already reported, but I can't find the bug number :-(

> Well, "(x) Other: /dev/hda" is technically correct

I don't see why. As said the ncurses interface selects/remembers the right option.

Stephan: I'm so sorry for messing around with Qt ;)
Olaf: Please look into that.
