Description Christian Boltz 2006-02-18 20:17:36 UTC
I found that pressing the "back" button at "media check" causes the installation to be aborted if the language was already selected at bootmenu.

To reproduce:
- important: choose your language in the boot menu (in my case: german)
- start the installation
- in the first presented screen (media check), press the "back" button

Result: the graphical installer aborts, you see a red text box saying "Während der Installation trat ein Fehler auf!" (error while installation).

I suggest to disable the "back" button in the "check media" dialog if the language was selected in the bootmenu, or to have the language dialog available when "back" is pressed.

Additionally, you can't start the installation again using the text menu and only see perl error messages for a short time, then again an error message. I guess this is because ncurses installation doesn't work right now - if you don't think so, I can provide a screenshot.

BTW: I'm installing in a VMware 4.5.2 virtual machine.

Yes, this should be fixed for the final at least.
