Method "mount" with signature "ssaa" on interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" doesn't exist was this a new installation or did you upgrade from an older version? could you please post output of rpm -q kdelibs3 kdebase3 hal dbus-1 yes,I upgrade from Beta3,but all is ok: $rpm -q kdelibs3 kdebase3 hal dbus-1 kdelibs3-3.5.1-16 kdebase3-3.5.1-22 hal-0.5.6-8 dbus-1-0.60-9 ok, #3 makes sense. Sorry if I made the wrong decision. In Beta8 this still doesn't work completely - but progress has been made. Now in beta8 when I click the "Floppy Disk"-icon there is activity on the floppy disk and a Konqueror window emerges at the location "media:/fd0" - but it says 0 files, 0 folders - even though there are files on the vfat formatted disk. If I go to /media/floppy/ in Konqueror the floppy disk is mounted there and the files on the disk appear. The exact same thing is the case on both my desktop and my laptop - both running beta8. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 164488 *** |
