Description Jon Nelson 2006-02-19 19:13:19 UTC
In the toolbar (or whatever that thing is at the bottom of the screen), along the right near the clock, etc... is a blank spot that, when the mouse hovers over, displays "display information" - I can only assume that the application is missing it's icon.
Comment 1 Christian Boltz 2006-02-19 22:01:31 UTC
does the icon have a menu (left/right click it to test)? This could clarify what application is hidden...

My guess is that it is NetworkManager. Do you use traditional network configuration?
Comment 2 Jon Nelson 2006-02-19 22:33:06 UTC
The application does respond to left/right menus - it's the "display information" applet which lets me change resolutions and stuff.
Comment 3 Jon Nelson 2006-03-05 01:59:21 UTC
This is also a bug in beta 6.

Is it possibly related to bug 152108?
Comment 4 Jon Nelson 2006-03-12 22:26:31 UTC
I'm guessing this is related to 155310 and/or 155311. The same problem/solution appears there as well.
Comment 5 Jon Nelson 2006-03-12 22:27:27 UTC
Perhaps this ought to be assigned to jpr@novell.com (just a guess)??
Comment 6 Robert Love 2006-03-23 20:50:42 UTC
This should be fixed in Beta.

Mr Nelson, can you confirm?
Comment 7 Robert Love 2006-03-24 15:40:01 UTC
Beta 8, I meant to write.
Comment 8 JP Rosevear 2006-03-30 05:49:53 UTC
No response, but I'm pretty sure we fixed this.
