Description Thomas Schmidt 2006-02-21 15:11:00 UTC
Thunderbird regulary crashes when clicking on the "+" of collapsed threads.
It seems to only happen when it was running for some (long, > 2h) time.

The log shows this message many times during runtime:
(Gecko:7636): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: gsignal.c:2316: signal name `text_changed::delete' is invalid for instance `0x9cdf540'

And when it finally crashes:
(Gecko:7636): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: gsignal.c:2316: signal name `text_changed::delete' is invalid for instance `0x9cdf540'
/usr/bin/thunderbird: line 137:  7636 Speicherzugriffsfehler  $AOSS $MOZ_PROGRAM $@

Installed packages are: MozillaThunderbird-1.5-12, mozilla-nspr-4.6.1-12, mozilla-xulrunner-1.8.0.1-11, mozilla-nss-3.11-11.
Comment 1 Thomas Schmidt 2006-03-17 13:09:09 UTC
Still happening in Beta8, nobody interested in it?
Comment 2 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-03-17 13:21:21 UTC
sorry, priority for this is low at the moment because more important bugs have to be fixed first. This seems not be a bug that exists for everyone.
Comment 3 Thomas Schmidt 2006-03-17 13:29:39 UTC
no problem.
Comment 4 Robert O'Callahan 2006-03-20 02:50:11 UTC
I've been using Thunderbird a lot recently on beta6 without seeing this problem.
Comment 5 Matthias Fruehauf 2006-04-27 07:49:03 UTC
Is this still an issue?
Comment 6 Thomas Schmidt 2006-04-27 08:43:26 UTC
@ comment #5: Yes, still on RC2
Comment 7 Thomas Schmidt 2006-05-18 09:17:23 UTC
I deleted my chrome directory, but the bug still happens on 10.1 final.
Comment 8 Thomas Schmidt 2006-08-01 17:26:26 UTC
Thunderbird updated itself to 1.5.0.5 by its internal update mechanism.
Now the problem is gone, at least it did not happen since some days.
Comment 9 Wolfgang Rosenauer 2006-08-17 20:17:19 UTC
If the problem didn't happen again please close this report.
Comment 10 Thomas Schmidt 2006-08-18 10:14:03 UTC
fixed in 1.5.0.5
