Description Chad Groneman 2006-02-21 17:24:29 UTC
The SDB article http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2000/02/olh_ppc_machines.html was migrated to the opensuse wiki as http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:PPC:_Which_PowerPC_computers_are_supported_by_SuSE_Linux

This document is for SuSE Linux 6.4 - 7.3, and needs to be updated. I have a premium customer trying to install SLES 9 on a p610, referring to the SDB article and showing that the document indicates it will work, as long as it's SLES. (I've added a temporary note to the wiki to indicate this means SLES 7, and may not apply to later versions. And I am continuing to work with him to try to get it installed.)

Someone who is familiar with what systems currently work should update the wiki page to be current, or create a new page, or something.

Right, the article only said SLES, not the version. We have no manpower to correct the old articles for such bugs. But when you look at the Version, it should be clear that this probably don't match with SLES9. But thanks for adding the note.

anyway, assigned to the original author, maybe he knows a SLES page with more information.

well, our official SLES pages should do the trick.
