Description Dirk Mueller 2006-02-22 15:59:52 UTC
an ifplugd controlled device can't be put down with "ifdown ethX", it remains up.
Comment 1 Christian Zoz 2006-02-23 12:44:42 UTC
It remains up and ifplugd keeps running, but the v4 addresses are flushed.

If you want to put it down completely you have to call 'ifdown <iface> -o rc' or rcnetwork stop <iface>.

I'm not sure if i can change this by now. I'll have a look.
Comment 2 Dirk Mueller 2006-02-23 12:48:25 UTC
Its a change from previous behaviour, not sure if it was an intended change.
Comment 3 Christian Zoz 2006-02-23 12:57:42 UTC
No, there was no change. ifdown <iface> without options did never take down an interface completely which has STARTMODE=ifplugd.
Comment 4 Christian Zoz 2006-02-24 14:55:42 UTC
Dirk, please try sysconfig from mbuild/oran-zoz-19.
