As reported by others for the straight x86 architecture, kdebaselibs3 version 3.5.1-27 released 2-24-06 causes the system to hang on booting also on the x86-64 architecture.  The problem is easily resolved by downgrading to 3.5.1-18 from kde.org.  I just wanted to make sure you knew of the problem for 64-bit versions too.  Thanks!
