I would like to test OpenSuse 10.1. However, I have difficulty with installing on VMWare using a Net install (all sorts of problems :( )., and downloading all the 5 CDs are too much for me (I then have to convert to DVD..).

Is it possible to have a default install of OpenSUSE distributed as a VMPlayer Virtual Machine?

The compressed virtual machine should be less than 900MB in size and I believe you will need to make two versions, a GNOME and a KDE one. (I am interested for a GNOME version).

For other development virtual machines, see

For more on VMPlayer, see

(Novell is a platform vendor of VMWare)

Not for 10.1 - I'll look later at this...

This would mean another 2 GB on our mirror servers and we do not want to do this.
