NetworkManager keeps asking for a wep passhrase again and again on a wep network without dhcp although the correct key has been entered and wpa_state is COMPLETED. I expect autoip to be run here.

Hmm, I assumed wpa_state would be something different than COMPLETED with a wrong wep key but that assumption was wrong. WEP obviously doesn't provide something to verify the correctness of the key...
