Please attach the yast logfiles and notice bug #153073 - the CD must remain in the drive until YaST asks for the second CD. Sorry, looks like hardware/kernel problem out of nowhere. My devices are travelling around IDE channels. Definitely not YaST bug (if any). Please close as appropriate. Thanks If this also happens with other distros, it's a hardware problem and we should leave it closed. If this, however, happens with SUSE Linux only or came up with a later beta, reopen this bug and provide more information. I am seeing this behaviour still with SuSE Linux 10.1 RC3. I do have two IDE CDROM drives, and was trying to install from the second. Copying contents of all installation CD's to the hard drive and switching during the installation to use that copy works around the problem. |
