Description Joe Harmon 2006-03-01 17:33:43 UTC
When connected to a wireless network, the tray icon shows signal strength, but not the bitrate. It would be nice if this could be exposed in some way though Network Manager

Though this is possible we don't really have the resources to add this feature at this time. I will add this to our feature database.
Comment 2 Robert Love 2006-03-01 22:09:48 UTC
We could add it to the Connection Information, in the future.
Comment 3 Joe Harmon 2006-03-01 22:27:54 UTC
That would be great. Thanks guys.
Comment 4 Robert Love 2006-03-02 22:27:31 UTC
Actually, no. I will go ahead and implement this now, for Code10.

I will put the information in 'Connection Information' and nm-tool.
Comment 5 Robert Love 2006-03-02 22:28:05 UTC
Pete, no need to add to FATE.
Comment 6 Robert Love 2006-03-03 00:05:44 UTC
Checked into CVS. I'll submit to autobuild tomorrow.

I added three things: current Ethernet speed, current wireless device speed, and maximum available rate for each wireless network. Works nicely.

Thanks Robert.
