Description Forgotten User ZhJd0F0L3x 2006-03-01 20:22:52 UTC
After reboot into stage2, i got a "Media error", with "OK", "Abort", "Skip" options.
OK did not retry the failed NFS mount, so CD2 was skipped.

y2logs attached, search for "CD2" in y2log.

I don't think this is a duplicate for the following reasons:
- for some yet unknown reason, CD1 directory could not be mounted by NFS.
  I verified this during installation with "mount" - no nfs directory was
  mounted. => CD1 failed
- Then it proceeded to CD2, which could be mounted, and it installed from CD3,
  CD4 and CD5 until the end. Just CD2 was missing.

Marco and me actually reproduced this on SL10.1 beta6 - by strategically unplugging the network cable after reboot into stage2, shortly after the X server came up:-)

But beta6 on SL10.1 still tries to access the original source, while
SLES 10 beta6 will not and thus the original problem cannot be reproduce.

Try to do the same with SLES10.

no reaction for a month - resolving as invalid.

it is probably just fixed in the mean time, since i have not seen something like that ever since.
I have not retried exactly this scenario, but similar stuff.
