Could you please attach the hwinfo, and the first trace you hit during boot? Are you using kprobes at all? Please reopen this bug if you're still having problems. |
A 4xopteron from Sun with 32GB spits lots vm traces. They were not there with SL 9.3 kernel before. The system seem to run stable anyway so far. The traces appears with kernel-default (IIRC) and kernel-xen. One example trace: Badness in vmap_pte_range at mm/vmalloc.c:97 Call Trace: <ffffffff80161f9b>{map_vm_area+836} <ffffffff80101ff8>{init_level4_pgt+4088} <ffffffff8016273e>{__vmalloc_area_node+257} <ffffffff802ccbf6>{get_insn_slot+113} <ffffffff802cae24>{arch_prepare_kprobe+9} <ffffffff802cc462>{__register_kprobe+435} <ffffffff8045fd65>{init_kprobes+44} <ffffffff801081f1>{init+471} <ffffffff8010b35e>{child_rip+8} <ffffffff802702ce>{dev_queue_xmit+353} <ffffffff8010b356>{child_rip+0}
