Description Dirk Mueller 2006-03-03 13:25:32 UTC
Hi, my freshly created ext3 partition died after 24h of autobuild on beta6:

EXT3-fs error (device sda3): ext3_readdir: bad entry in directory #2829781: rec_len is smaller than minimal - offset=0, inode=0, rec_len=7, name_len=0
Comment 1 Chris L Mason 2006-03-03 18:01:00 UTC
That's not supposed to happen. Please send all kernel messages. What does fsck have to say about this disk?
Comment 2 Dirk Mueller 2006-03-06 18:21:22 UTC
fsck was able to correct the filesystem without any complains. There weren't kernel messages other than the one above (repeated a few hundred times).

2.6.16-rc5-git5-20060303112402-smp

survived the weekend without corruption. I guess thats a WORKSFORME
