Description Jure Repinc 2006-03-04 22:49:12 UTC
I have a HP Compaq nx6125 laptop with AMD Turion 64 processor. I installed AMD64 version of openSUSE 10.1 beta 6 on it.

I selected Suspend to RAM from the system tray utility and it looked like the system saved the memory and suspended. The LED besides power switch was blinking every 1 or 2 seconds.

I then pressed the power button to bring laptop out of suspended state but the display remained blank and nothing happened. I also tried Caps Lock and Num Lock keys on the keyboard and the LEDs for them didn't switch. It looks like the laptope froze completely.

This is most likely a BIOS or hardware problem. Have you flashed the BIOS to the latest available version? You can also try various boot parameters or using APM instead of ACPI.

Mobile Team: Could you provide a comment here, maby about the general support status of `Suspend to RAM'?
