In Beta 4, the mouse was detected correctly. It is impossible to say if also in Beta 6. (See bug #155018.) Ladislav, I suppose the YaST logs can be of assistance, also attach the output of `lshal'. Created attachment 71790 [details]

Jiri, if this is not an installation issue, assign it back to us. How do you want to use the mouse in text mode installation? NCurses interface never supported mouse.... Well you are right. In ncurses mouse seems to be useless. What a pitty. But the problem is that mouse configuration did not autodetect the mouse. None was selected. Is the autodetection of the mouse ommited in text mode? there is no mouse in ncurses installation because yast ncurses cannot make use of it. in ncurses mode only the variables in /etc/sysconfig/mouse are set for eventually use of gpm in the later installed system |
