Description Naresh Wignarajah 2006-03-08 18:08:28 UTC
YUM repository linking. (One YUM repository does require another one which gets added automatically).
Comment 1 Naresh Wignarajah 2006-03-22 06:08:08 UTC
AFAICT YUM server meta data does not support this, i.e. providing additional YUM service metadata, which would be required to autoadd additional services.

Unclear who can clarify this, NEEDINFO to aj for clarification.

Either way my recommendation is we do this in a SP if required.
Comment 2 Andreas Jaeger 2006-03-22 08:14:07 UTC
Adrian, can you drive this?
Comment 3 Christoph Thiel 2006-04-23 10:54:42 UTC
Adrian and myself will be looking into this, as we need this feature for the openSUSE build service as well. However, I'd suggest we discuss this upstream with the rpm-metadata folks.
Comment 4 Naresh Wignarajah 2006-06-30 15:33:11 UTC
Moving to enhancement. It's not really ZENworks but related so leave it as such.
Comment 5 Stanislav Visnovsky 2007-06-21 14:49:35 UTC
Can we get this for libzypp?
Comment 6 Klaus Kämpf 2007-06-22 14:01:36 UTC
Yes, we should.
Michael, Duncan, didn't you already think about a 'meta-respository' server, not returning package metadata but (links to) multiple repositories instead ?
Comment 8 Duncan Mac-Vicar 2007-10-03 16:54:37 UTC
Determining which repository does a repository need is the point that needs to be defined.
Comment 9 Duncan Mac-Vicar 2007-10-12 12:12:59 UTC
Naresh, can you please specify usecases to see if this is covered with latest features added?
Comment 11 Duncan Mac-Vicar 2007-10-31 14:49:03 UTC
We will not fix this for 10.3, and for 11 we will look into something similar, but a more concrete usecase and specification.
