bug-buddy report from galeon crash
Problem still in Beta7... We probably need update to version 2.0.1, which should be compatible with xulrunner. I have upgraded to 2.0.1. It declares to be compatible, but craashes, too. And out of the box it does not even compile due to missing nsICookiePromptService.h. To Robert O'Callahan: Can you look at it? Please note, that galeon is a low priority package, and if it will not work, we can report it upstream and wait for a new version. The version 2.0.1 was submitted to Autobuild anyway. Backtrace.
I think we should just report this upstream stanislav. Low priority package. Will wait for upstream. http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=335664 Upstream reply: This is caused by xulrunner being compiled without "permissions" extension (--enable-extensions=default,permissions). hmm, we added the nsIPermission interface just because Epiphany and Galeon. So it's still not enough for Galeon. Is this for sure? Independent reply from upstream: Erm, it's the missing "cookie" extension not the "permissions" extension that's causing this failure, sorry. We don't really want to add the cookie module to xulrunner, because it's not part of Mozilla's xulrunner. If we want Galeon to work with xulrunner I think the best we can do is to copy the cookie module into Galeon itself. *** Bug 183650 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Re-opening for resolution Galeon has been dropped for 10.2 and SLED 11. |
