Description Takashi Iwai 2006-03-09 14:55:13 UTC
When clicking "SUSE help center" item in SUSE help center (the bottom one), it shows an error, "help:susehelpcenter/index.html doesn't exist or cannot read".

Is this in KDE or GNOME?
Comment 3 Takashi Iwai 2006-04-03 10:28:07 UTC
GNOME, as you see in Component.
Comment 4 Hans Petter Jansson 2006-04-05 11:31:37 UTC
Where exactly are you finding the SUSE help center? Which package provides it? I cannot find any corresponding documentation on my system, even though I installed everything from beta 8.
Comment 5 Takashi Iwai 2006-04-05 12:46:06 UTC
See bug #160212.
It's installed as default on SL10.1, maybe not on NLD.
Comment 6 Marek Stepien 2006-04-05 22:05:59 UTC
SUSE Help Center is suseish name for Gnome's yelp.
Comment 7 Marek Stepien 2006-04-05 22:20:48 UTC
Currently (beta 9) Yelp/SUSE Help Center shows up, but most of the documents don't show up at all, an error message appears.

I will attach a screenshot in a minute.

I reproduced this error with pl_PL, en_US and de_DE locales.

This file comes from:

jpr@zugwang:~/Desktop> rpm -qf /etc/opt/kde3/share/applications/kde/Help.desktop
kdebase3-NLD-10.1-27
Comment 10 Hans Petter Jansson 2006-04-18 00:10:04 UTC
Marek: This works for me. Could you update your yelp and susehelp packages and try again?
Comment 11 JP Rosevear 2006-04-19 15:21:36 UTC
I'm still seeing this in beta 10.
Comment 12 JP Rosevear 2006-04-23 22:11:23 UTC
Un-need infoing
Comment 13 Marek Stepien 2006-05-04 18:46:13 UTC
I just installed RC 3.

Now this menu option in GNOME launches... the KDE Help!

Yelp, if run from command line, is still broken. I don't think that replacing Yelp with KDE Help in GNOME is the best idea, I hope it's just a temporary workaround for RC 3...

I'm closing this one as it works properly in later versions (SLED and 10.3).
