Where did you see the errors? Only in the logs? There may be many minor ones. Which ones do you mean in particular? The logs have 66MB. Please guide us what we should be looking for. Holgi, could you, please, comment? I got lots of popup windows such as? There are a lot of error messages such as: --- cut --- [YCP] SlideShow.ycp:671 Package 'python-qt' is remote [pkgbindings] Callbacks.YCP.h(expecting):313 Wrong return type YT_VOID: Expected YT_BOOLEAN ... [base] Exception.cc(log):94 RpmDb.cc(installPackage):1781 RETHROW: RpmDb.cc(doInstallPackage):1883: Subprocess fail ed. Error: RPM failed: file /opt/kde3/bin/pylupdate from install of python-qt-3.5.1-8 conflicts with file from package kdebindings3-python-3.4.2-8 file /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/qtsql.so from install of python-qt-3.5.1-8 conflicts with file from package kdebindings3-python-3.4.2-8 ... --- cut --- Holger, there are so many messages in those logs (64 MB of text) that if you don't provide any feedback which errors did you mean, somebody's gonna close this bugreport as INVALID. If you get a pop-up error message, we'd appreciate to get also the information WHAT was in that pop-up to find it in the log. So this is the scenario: Install SL 10.0, update 10.0 with all available OnLine Updates, Update to 10.1 by running the Installation and selecting "Update" instead of "New Installation", right? Thanks The problem is: I don't remember the content of the popups. Your scenario is nearly correct, but select all patterns in software selection during installtion and update. OK, because I'm so friendly ;-) I retested this with Build 805. Here is the content of the popups: 2006-03-24 01:59:38 km_fritzcapi-2.6.40.i586 remove ok 2006-03-24 01:59:40 java-1_4_2-sun-devel-1.4.2.10-2.2.i586 remove ok 2006-03-24 01:59:40 mod_php4-core-4.4.0-6.i586 remove ok 2006-03-24 01:59:41 php4-ctype-4.4.0-6.i586 remove failed rpm output: mv: error while loading shared libraries: libsselinux.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory error: %preun(php4-ctype-4.4.0-6.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 127 --- 2006-03-24 01:59:41 php4-ctype-4.4.0-6.i586 removed failed rpm output: mv: error while loading shared libraries: libsselinux.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory error: %preun(php4-ctype-4.4.0-6.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 127 2006-03-24 02:26:41 php4-domxml-4.4.0-6.i586 remove failed rpm output: mv: error while loading shared libraries: libsselinux.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory error: %preun(php4-domxml-4.4.0-6.i586) scriptlet failed, exit status 127 same for packages: php4-dbase-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-gd-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-bcmath-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-wddx-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-unixODBC-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-snmp-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-qtdom-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-pgsql-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-sysvsem-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-sockets-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-ldap-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-imap-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-gmp-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-mime_magic-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-mcrypt-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-exif-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-zlib-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-sysvshm-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-shmop-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-mysql-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-mcal-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-iconv-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-dbx-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-ftp-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-calendar-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-mbstring-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-yp-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-filepro-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-session-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-bz-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-swf-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-gettext-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-mhash-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-curl-4.4.0-6.i586 php4-xslt-4.4.0-6.i586 Fixed summary.
