KDE can use the proxy environment variabled which are set by YaST2. This works very well and should be the default setting (currently "manual" is the default setting), so all KDE apps use the proxy specified in YaST2.

we have a pending feature to sync all that settings and that will be part of it

Closing old LATER+REMIND bugs as WONTFIX - if you still plan to work on it, feel free to reopen and set to ASSIGNED.

In case the report saw repeated reopen comments, it's due to bugzilla timing out on the huge request ;(
