If you make an update from SL10.0 to SL10.1, YaST2 removes the
resume option form /boot/grub/menu.lst:

before update:
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda5 vga=0x342 selinux=0    resume=/dev/sda9
 splash=silent showopts

after update:
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda5 vga=0x342 selinux=0 splash=silent  showo
pts
